Ayamonte/Isla Canela has a Mediterranean-Oceanic climate. Most of the rainfall is during the winter months. There are over 3200 hours of sunshine a year, more than the Costa del Sol.  January is the coldest month but daytime temperatures can still average 17C. The warmest months are July and August when the temperatures can exceed 30C. A gentle breeze during the summer months sweeps across the Atlantic making the heat at the height of the season both comfortable and bearable. The wonderful soft and warm climate makes this area ideal for enjoying a holiday at any time of the year.

The location of Isla Canela next to the Atlantic Ocean provides air that is
perfectly clear and unpolluted. The light is absolutely stunning hence the regions adopted name of the Coast of Light.  The clear night skies are a rich tapestry of sparkling and twinkling distant stars. Watch the superb evening sunsets whilst you stroll down the beach or from a bar on the beach or from our apartment terrace. A perfect end to those warm sunny days.
